The Human Rights Project started in 2017 and was designed by Lucy Armstrong, a teacher at St. Peter’s School, Barcelona. It is a collection of interactive workshops which aim to facilitate the development of children’s understanding of their own rights and the rights of all other people around the world.
It gives the participants the opportunity to engage with materials and activities that enhance their awareness of what it truly means to be a Global Citizen.
Through sharing ideas with others, exploring the rights of children and adults around the world and considering ways in which people fight to try and ensure everyone has access to these fundamental rights, it helps children to make more informed choices in the future and have greater respect and empathy for those been for whom these rights are not readily available.
This year the Human Rights Project has been adapted to suit the ever-growing community of online students and teachers.
